Blueberry and cherry go together SO well to make a delicious smoothie flavor combination! Adding oats will keep you full longer, and there's a handful of spinach (I promise you won't taste it!) making this smoothie nutrient-dense.
1 ½cupmilkcow, almond, soy, oat, or whatever is in your fridge!
3cupsfrozen sweet dark cherries
1cupfrozen blueberries
Instructions
Place the soft ingredients at the bottom of the blender container (banana, oats, honey, spinach, 1 cup milk).
Place any optional add-in ingredients now (scroll up to the blog post for ideas).
Add the frozen blueberries and frozen cherries on top of the other ingredients and secure the lid.
Start the blender on low speed and turn to high speed until completely blended and creamy. Pour into glasses and enjoy.
Add more ¼ cup of milk at a time needed to make it the perfect consistency for your perference.
Notes
Rolled oats: Quick oats can be used instead if needed.Fresh blueberries or fresh cherries: If using fresh cherries and fresh blueberries instead of frozen ones, use a frozen banana (instead of a fresh banana) or add 1 cup of ice cubes to make it cold and thick.Frozen banana: I personally love to use a frozen banana instead of a fresh banana to make this smoothie thicker. I reccomend only doing this if you have a high power blender.
