Amazing 3-ingredient strawberry banana smoothie without yogurt! This healthy snack tastes like a milkshake! All you need is frozen strawberries, bananas, and whatever milk you like to use.
¼-3/4cupmilk(use cow, almond, oat, coconut, soy, or your favorite milk)
2cupfrozen strawberries
Instructions
Optional, to make it pretty: Take 1-3 frozen strawberries and slice them thinly. Then place them on the side of the glass cup and use a knife to push them into the sides of the cup.
A sharp knife will help you cut the frozen strawberries. If they are SUPER frozen, leave them out of the freezer for a few minutes before slicing.
Place the bananas, ¼ cup milk, and the rest of the frozen strawberries in the blender. Start the blender on low speed and then increase to high speed until everything is blended.
Add more milk if you desire a thinner consistancy. Add ice cubes or more frozen strawberries if you desire a thicker consistancy.
Pour into the glass slowly, letting the strawberries stick to the sides and enjoy!
Notes
Using fresh strawberries: If you want to use fresh strawberries instead of frozen strawberries, use a frozen banana or add ice cubes to make the smoothie cold and thick.Using frozen bananas: If you want to use frozen bananas instead of fresh bananas, firstly chop your banana down into smaller chunks so it blends more easily. Secondly, use more milk, ¼ cup to start and add more as needed (it will depend on how powerful your blender is). If your blender has a tamper, use this to push the frozen fruit into the blade. Using both frozen banana and strawberries will make the smoothie thick; this is great eaten as a smoothie bowl with toppings or as 'nice cream' (banana ice cream).
